Who are we?

We are UK Turkey Life. An organisation built by former British Diplomats deployed to Turkey.

Specialising in international business relations, interpretation, translation, and visa applications. We help introduce British citizens to Turkey, and Turkish citizens to Britain.

Our Heritage

I’m Steve, and my story begins in the autumn of 2013. This was the first time I stepped onto Turkish soil. The next day I was sat at my desk working in the British Embassy in Ankara, meeting and greeting public servants, law enforcement officers, and visiting foreign colleagues, many of whom would go on to become great friends.

As each year went by, I learned more about the people, more about the culture. This life style was something I wanted to contribute to, and be part of.

I started to imagine how great it would be if British people could see and experience the real Turkey. It was also clear that Turkish people could add to the rich diversity of Britain, bringing their skills in business, trade and tourism, and their ancestral heritage of hospitality.

Whilst in Turkey, my friends and colleagues regularly remarked of our fortune, living amongst a society where the giving of an act of kindness was as frequent as the sound of a vehicle’s horn. One night in the local cafe the concept of UK Turkey Life was created.

In 2021 I paused my public sector career, and with the assistance of some special people who were both friends and professionals in Ankara, we launched UK Turkey Life.

Today the organisation strives to provide a service, based on tried and trusted methods. It only does what it knows, and only uses people with the knowledge. I’m super proud of them and what they do. I just connect them to others with knowledge and offer advice, they do all the hard work.
